Description Aims and Objectives

St. Peter's Market is open every Wednesday throughout the year and is only closed for three weeks at Christmas. It is held in the Community Hut behind St. Peter's Post Office.  There are four stalls which are looked after by four volunteers. Cakes and preserves, craft, fruit and vegetables and plants. Coffee is served and there is a small raffle held each week. Producers bring their items up before 10.00am and these are sold on their behalf until 11.00am. Any perishables need to be collected soon after 11.00am.
There is plenty of parking at the Post Office and there is ramp access to the hut.

Organisation and Management

The producers become members of the market for an annual fee of £1 and 5% of the sale of their produce goes towards the rent, electricity, insurance and running of the market. All the edibles must be fresh and not previously frozen. Craft items must be hand-made. The money is collected by each stall helper and the treasurer pays out on the first Wednesday of the month.
