GDA open meeting - Preventing disability discrimination – making it real
Please join us at Les Cotils 7-9pm for our next meeting which is open to all.
Preventing disability discrimination – making it real
What’s involved, and why is it taking so long?
“Rights” have always topped the polls of GDA members’ priorities. But what rights? - and how can they be protected? Why the delays?
What are the States’ plans and what difference might those plans make to our lives?
The session on 27th March, led by Rob Platts and Karen Blanchford, will be a facilitated group discussion designed to broaden understanding of the subject and to seek members’ views on key issues.
Through discussion, and through real life examples, Rob and Karen aim to bring the subject alive.
A second session is planned where members will be able to gain a greater understanding of, and voice their opinion about, the key issues involved in developing the Guernsey’s disability discrimination legislation.
