How to join the AGC
Membership of The Association of Guernsey Charities is open to any organisation, based in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, engaged in providing service to the community or in fund-raising activities for charitable objects, which is currently registered as a Charity or Non-Profit Organisation with the Guernsey Registry. The Board may approve the membership of any organisation which is not itself a registered Charity or Non-Profit Organisation, which the Board believes is in the interests of the objectives of the Association.

If you are involved with a local charity, and would like to join, you will need to print a copy of the Application Form. Applications cannot be completed online, as we require the application to be signed by a senior member of the organisation.
It is important to complete each section on the application form, as these details are used to produce information about your organisation for publication on this website.
In order for membership to be considered, you will also need to enclose the following with your application:

A copy of your constitution / trust document / governing document

A copy of the letter from Guernsey Registry confirming Registered Charity
OR Confirmation from States Income Tax that exempt from Guernsey tax ( if applicable)

A copy of your latest accounts from the last financial year (preferably audited)
(Income and Expenditure Accounts and Balance Sheet)
If your organisation is within the first year of operation, then you should send proof that you have a bank account for your organisation. (if applicable)

Association of Guernsey Charities joining fee - £10 (cheque only - NOT cash)
This should be sent to The Membership Secretary at the address given on the form.
Charity Registration
The Association of Guernsey Charities is neither a regulator nor an official register of charities. Guernsey has legislation to regulate the charitable sector. The Charities etc. (Guernsey and Alderney) Ordinance, 2021 requires charities and NPOs with income or assets above certain thresholds, to be registered.
