Goal50
Our aims and objectives
Goal50 was set up in 2010 to support the township communities of Cape Town, South Africa with physical, emotional and spiritual ways.
The original aim was to raise £50,000 for the purchase of, and renovate a building which could be used an orphanage (safe house). Over the years, the social reach has been extending to include food programmes, job schemes and assistance with drug rehabilitation.
Goal50's latest, and biggest, project is to construct an Early Child Development school out of recycled tyres. When complete, it will be the biggest tyre constructed building in South Africa. The proposed opening date is June / July 2026.
Organisation and management
A small Board of five members regularly meet to discuss the ongoing support and requirements
