Guernsey Samaritans LBG

Our aims and objectives

Talk to us on the phone ....Guernsey Samaritans have been supporting our callers across the Channel Islands and the UK since 1963. Whatever you're going through, cull us free any time, from any phone, on 116 123

An additional part of our Samaritans work is to reach out to people in the community locally and we work with other organisations to provide support for as many people as we can. Importantly we work with our local prison to support those in need, with the assistance of trained prisoner "Listeners" who provide 24 hour support within the prison.

Everyone in our branch is a volunteer, from our Directors who manage the activities of the branch, through to the 30 or so listening volunteers. We have a complete mix of ages from their early twenties to octogenarians.

We are always looking for new recruits to train as listening volunteers, or to support those who do in other roles like admin, fundraising, publicity or IT. You can find out more here.
