Our aims and objectives
The Committee's Mission Statement:
to enhance the natural environment by encouragement, education and example thereby raising parish pride and self respect for the benefit of resident and visitors alike; to make the parish a pleasure to pass through; to include the children of the parish; to keep on top of litter; to keep areas of special interest well maintained.
Organisation and management
We are run by a Committee of seven volunteers who meet once or twice a month to organise fundraising events to pay for the floral displays, maintenance of the planters and watering systems. We have social events for our members such as a summer barbecue and Christmas dinner. Weekly we have about 6 people deadheading the floral displays to keep the flowers looking good and we meet afterwards for coffee at The Venture Inn. We have various projects each year for which we need help as the need arises.
