Lords Taverners Guernsey Region

Our aims and objectives

Giving youngsters, especially those disadvantaged or disabled, a sporting chance. Through our programmes we seek to generate the following outcomes for young people:

1. Increased opportunities for regular participation

2. More young people motivated to engage in sport

3. Improved health, social and psychological well-being

4. Volunteers, coaches and teachers empowered to deliver training sessions and sporting opportunities to young people

Organisation and management

The Lord's Taverners is a UK national charity, registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales, and also with the Official Scottish Charities Regulator.

It established a Guernsey Region, managed by a local committee of volunteers, to raise funds way of social events such as golf, cricket, and other sporting events, together with social evening functions. The Committee is also mandated to identify Guernsey based projects to benefit from funds raised in Guernsey, and these funds are from time to time augmented by funds from the national charity.
