U3A Guernsey

Our aims and objectives

U3A Guernsey is affiliated to The Third Age Trust which has over 1000 U3A's operational in the UK.

The organisation is centred around peer learning and is aimed at retired people who collectively have a lifetime of knowledge & experience to share.

There are currently approx 800 members in Guernsey and over 70 interest groups established with subjects between Astronomy to Tai-Chi.

The aim is to give retired people an opportunity to carry on learning & living at very little costs.

Activities include Educational, Sport, Exercise, Arts & Crafts, Social, Community monthly speakers, Demonstrations, groups also entertain and assist other groups in the community.

Organisation and management

The first AGM was held in April & as such an Executive committee is running with a Chair, 2 Sub-chairs, Treasurer, Secretary and found non-officers.
