The Guernsey Giving Trust
Our aims and objectives
The Guernsey Giving Trust is the operational vehicle that supports the online donations application (www.giving.gg) developed by the Association of Guernsey Charities to collect donations for its members.
A Trust Deed drafted by Applebys forms the document of Constitution, and the Trustee is Zedra Trust. Both of these Guernsey based financial services business provide their services for no charge. The Association of Guernsey Charities is the Administrator of The Guernsey Giving Trust under an Administration Agreement.
Giving encourages direct donation to its bank accounts via e-banking (no charges deducted), donations may also be made via Paypal and Visa/Mastercard credit and debit cards, although both incur normal merchant charges.
Members of the public who wish to raise money for participating charities through an Event, such as running a marathon may set up Events on Giving; these are subject to review and approval by the AGC before being released.
Giving was built at no charge, by volunteers, and is administered at no charge, by volunteers.

Organisation and management
AGC members who elect to participate sign a Declaration Agreement binding their participation to the operational terms of Giving. They then have access to a donation button on their page of the AGC website, their own page on the Giving website, and may also set up a link from their own website to their page on the Giving website.
The AGC analyses donations pledged (via e-banking) and received (via Paypal and plastic cards) to establish which donations have actually been paid to Giving's bank accounts. Each month, these donations are reconciled to the bank account and paid over to the participating charities who also receive a list supporting the payments.
Giving has also acquired three contactless payment devices which may be borrowed by AGC member charities who are also participants in Giving, to collect funds
