Dementia Friendly Guernsey

Our aims and objectives

Dementia Friendly Guernsey is an unincorporated charity registered in Guernsey on 10th March 2020 with the aim of raising awareness of dementia in the community and to find ways to improve the quality of life for those who live in Guernsey or visit our islands and who have dementia. Prior to this, from 17 July 2015, the Charity was constituted as a partnership under the umbrella of the Guernsey Community Foundation until outgrowing this arrangement.

Aims and Objectives - To provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure people living with dementia and their carers can be active and engaged socially, economically and culturally within Guernsey and to develop action plans

Organisation and management

The charity is managed by the Steering Group comprising of Trustees who are appointed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Charity.

Members of the Charity will form the Partnership Group and will comprise of representatives from a variety of associated organisations and groups.
