Man Club (Channel Islands)

Our aims and objectives

Man Club (Channel Islands) provides mental health support services for men It does this primarily through the formation and support of men's "talking groups" - Man Club does not provide advice or treatment.

Man Club's support services complement counselling, coaching, therapy, and mental health treatments provided by others. Man Club also promotes and encourages the provision of mental health support for people under stress in businesses and institutions, public and private.

Man Club currently provides one 3-hour evening group session each fortnight, along with a weekly lunchtime "drop in" at a local cafe. It aims to launch evening group sessions at a St Peter Port venue, in order to improve availability and convenience. These "town sessions" are also to be held fortnightly, interleaved with the current programme so Man Club is offering a weekly opportunity for men to meet and talk.

Organisation and management

Man Club is directed by a board of four Trustees. The services are delivered by six facilitators (all volunteers).

Professional oversight is provided by a qualified psychotherapist who attends a number of Man Club sessions each year, providing advice and feedback as required.
