St Pierre du Bois Parish Cemeteries Committee
Our aims and objectives
The committee fulfills the secular parish's duties for maintenance, including of the churchyard, but is not a church body.
Its purpose is to maintain the three parish cemeteries - the churchyard, de Beauvoir near the church, and La Croix on La Route de Longfrie. It also maintains Les Buttes (i.e. the parish green) situated between the church and the Douzaine office.
Organisation and management
The committee was formed by the Douzaine before 1906 for the above purpose, and has a Chairman, Secretary, Records Officer,Treasurer and currently 3 other members. It meets quarterly and as necessary in between.
