Guernsey Child Contact Centre
Our aims and objectives
The Guernsey Child Contact Centre aims to provide a neutral and safe space for children of separated parents to spend time with their non-resident parent and/or other family members. The Centre also facilitates contact for children in care, enabling them to meet parents and family members where there is no safe alternative venue. GCCC offers a range of services including supervised contact, supported contact, handover contact, community contact, and delivers a “Children First” course for parents going through separation or divorce.
Child-care agencies across Guernsey recognise a significant need for a local child contact centre. Based at Roseville Community Centre, GCCC is supported by a fully qualified team of coordinators and volunteers and is equipped to cater for children of all ages. The team and volunteers are trained to NACCC Enhanced Accreditation standards on an ongoing basis and operate in accordance with the National Association of Child Contact Centres guidelines.
Organisation and management
The Centre is overseen by a management committee consisting of three GCCC Directors, the Chairperson and Treasurer. The operational team includes the GCCC Centre Manager and Deputy Manager, supported by five Contact Co-ordinators.
