As part of the Easter celebrations and our 150th year we have planned some Easter themed Childrens Art Events and also Easter Educational Guided Tours to see some of the areas of the Animal Shelter, look back at our rich history and the plans for the future. Childrens Easter Art Event These are going to be run by two of the most arty team members we have at the GSPCA Sarah Harrison and Karen Lane both who not only have a wealth of knowledge in the arts and creativity, they have a huge range of arty items to help entertain your child. There is no age range but we can take a maximum number of 20 children at each event which takes place between 1230pm and 130pm on Good Friday 7th April and Easter Monday 9th April at the same time. Costs are £12 per child £10 per child with an Island Families card or if you are an Angel Pen Pal Sponsor Easter Educational Guided Tours For the Easter Educational Guided Tours we ask for a minimum donation of £15 per person and £8 per child, or £40 for a family of four and a 10% discount if you have an Islands Families card or an Angel Pen Pal Sponsor, so £36 with the discount for a family of 4 or £13.50 per adult and £7.20 per child. The tours take around 80 minutes and you get to see in a selection of the many departments, interact with some of the friendly residents, see a variety of species and learn about our history and our plans for the future as we celebrate 150 years. Tours are a maximum of 20 people per tour, so please book early. Your guide will be a member will be Karen Lane a GSPCA team member and she will lead you around the Animal Shelter and explain our work and how we help 1000’s of animals and do so much more. Some of the animals you will have the chance to see will be cats, rabbits, birds, ferrets, reptiles, dogs as they are walked around the site and possibly some of the wildlife.
