The Big Hour
Guernsey Motor Neurone LBG
The Big Hour takes place throughout February 2025 and has been set up to raise funds for Guernsey motor Neurone, whilst continuing to maintain awareness of this condition.
Money will be raised through a variety of fun events that will offer something for everybody.
Volunteers will host an event for an hour (or more) and participants will pay to take part (suggested minimum donation of £10 for most events)

We all know how important it is to talk, but sometimes it is difficult to know what to say or how to react, especially if someone tells you they are struggling or having a tough time.
As part of our ‘You are not alone’ campaign Guernsey Mind are hosting a FREE to attend training session designed to assist those who regularly engage with others.
The course will cover:
• Common signs and symptoms of poor mental health
• Effects of stress
• Listening skills
• What can I say?
• The importance of self care
• Where to find further help and support

Castel Douzaine Room on the third Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm.
Including exercises for arthritis sufferers, speaker, tea and biscuits, and a raffle.

Victor Hugo, Inspiration for Music & Opera
The Victor Hugo in Guernsey Society
The Victor Hugo in Guernsey Society in association with St. James will be holding an illustrated lecture evening by Arnaud de Sullé describing Victor Hugo's influence over music and opera, during his lifetime and up to the current day. The evening will include performances by famous artists Siyu Sun (piano), Julian Debreuil (Baritone), Iúnó Connolly (Soprano) and the GADOC chorus from Les Miérables.
