New Volunteer Platform

We are excited to announce the launch of a new volunteer platform which will help organisations to connect, recruit and manage volunteers more easily. The platform is free to use for all AGC member organisations. Getting volunteering opportunities uploaded is a simple 2-step process.

Launched to the public in February, we are aiming to reach 100 opportunities showcasing the fantastic range of volunteering opportunities on offer in the Bailiwick.

Check out our volunteer recruitment resources and a helpful user guide or head straight to the new volunteer platform and get signed up today.

Recruiting and Retaining Trustees

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) recently published a survey of the voluntary sector, Understanding Trustee Recruitment and Retention Challenges. Several problems were highlighted, most of which will chime with us in the Bailiwick, but many are within the grasp of charities to address.

Voluntary Sector Manifesto – Election 2025

As part of our ongoing efforts to amplify the voices of the voluntary sector, we are developing a campaign plan for the election that includes a Voluntary Sector Manifesto to send to political candidates.

Join us at Les Cotils on 29th January 5.30pm -7.30pm

This manifesto will outline the key issues and priorities that matter most to charities like yours, ensuring that the voices of those who work tirelessly to support our communities are heard loud and clear.

This is your chance to:

•Provide input on the issues that matter most to your organisation and beneficiaries.

•Understand the election process and the opportunities it provides for Voluntary Sector organisations to be heard.

•Help craft a manifesto that reflects the needs and aspirations of the voluntary sector.

•Create a joint campaign plan to ensure that political candidates understand the critical role charities play in our community.

•Influence policy decisions that affect the future of your work and the community you serve

We value your expertise and input and believe that together we can create a strong, unified voice for the third sector. Your participation will help ensure that our priorities are clearly communicated to those standing for election.
